Is it fair to blame syndication and voice-tracking for the loss of jobs in urban radio? Probably not.
Any thiing that allows companies to save money and stay in business they will justify.

Is the most important marketing tool still word-of-mouth?
Yes. A recommendation from a friend has always been more powerful than any other form of advertising. Now word of mouth extends to social networking, discussion boards and web sites, as well as texting, in addition to traditional forms.

PPM cume higher than with the diary.
Why is PPM's cume higher than with the diary?Because of inadvertant listening, but it doesn't cntribute as many quarter-hours.

PPM could be a "game changer" because it's passive measurement and a listener just lingering a few minutesa around a radio with no intention of listening can generate quarter hours.
